XLAP STUDIO TERMS OF SERVICE (ENGLISH)

These Terms of Service (โ€œTermsโ€) govern your use of XLAP STUDIO, including hardware, software, and cloud services.

By using XLAP STUDIO, you agree to these Terms.


1. Service Description

XLAP STUDIO provides motorsport telemetry and lap timing services, including:

  • GPS track recording
  • Lap timing and analysis
  • Vehicle sensor data processing
  • Cloud synchronization (optional)
  • Third-party data import (e.g. .sa files)

2. Eligibility

You must:

  • Be at least 13 years old (or legal minimum age in your region)
  • Provide accurate account information
  • Be responsible for account activity

3. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
  • Interfere with system operation
  • Attempt unauthorized access to servers or devices
  • Manipulate or falsify telemetry data
  • Use the system for illegal purposes

  • Import third-party telemetry files
  • Use for personal or commercial motorsport analysis
  • Interoperability with supported devices

4. User Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all raw data generated or imported, including:

  • GPS telemetry
  • Sensor data
  • Lap timing data
  • Imported .sa or external files

5. License to Use Data

You grant XLAP STUDIO a limited license to:

  • Process data for core functionality
  • Generate analysis results
  • Provide cloud synchronization (if enabled)

This license is non-exclusive and revocable upon account deletion.


6. Third-Party Compatibility

XLAP STUDIO supports interoperability with external systems such as:

  • SpeedAngle
  • GPS loggers
  • Third-party telemetry formats

๐Ÿ‘‰ We do NOT:

  • Claim ownership of third-party protocols
  • Provide device emulation or authentication bypass
  • Guarantee full compatibility with all formats

7. Cloud Services

  • Cloud Sync is optional and disabled by default
  • Users may enable or disable at any time
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided โ€œAS ISโ€ and โ€œAS AVAILABLEโ€.

We do not guarantee:

  • Accuracy of telemetry data
  • GPS signal stability
  • Compatibility with third-party devices
  • Continuous availability of cloud services

๐Ÿ‘‰ Motorsport data is for informational purposes only and must not be used as a safety-critical system.


9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We are not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Data loss or corruption
  • Hardware damage
  • Business or financial loss

Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user in the past 12 months.


10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if:

  • Terms are violated
  • Abuse or misuse is detected
  • Required by law

Users may delete their account at any time.


11. Intellectual Property

All XLAP STUDIO software, UI design, and system architecture remain the property of XLAP STUDIO.

Users may not copy, distribute, or resell the system without authorization.


12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable local laws of the service operator jurisdiction.

XLAP STUDIO

INTEROPERABILITY LEGAL SHIELD ADDENDUM

Effective Date: June 19, 2026

This Addendum forms part of the XLAP STUDIO Terms of Service and governs all interoperability features, including but not limited to USB device communication, third-party file parsing, and external telemetry data integration.

By using these features, you agree to this Addendum.


1. Purpose of Interoperability

XLAP STUDIO provides interoperability features solely for the purpose of:

  • Enabling users to analyze motorsport telemetry data
  • Supporting user-owned or user-authorized devices
  • Allowing import of third-party data formats
  • Improving cross-platform compatibility in motorsport analytics

๐Ÿ‘‰ These features are designed for data analysis and visualization only, not device replication.


2. No Device Emulation or Authentication Bypass

XLAP STUDIO does NOT:

  • Emulate third-party hardware devices
  • Bypass device authentication or pairing mechanisms
  • Circumvent encryption, licensing, or access control systems
  • Replicate proprietary hardware communication protocols for operational use

๐Ÿ‘‰ Any USB or data interface implemented is strictly limited to user-accessible data extraction or file-level interoperability.


3. Third-Party Formats (Including โ€œ.saโ€ Files)

XLAP STUDIO may support parsing of third-party telemetry formats, including but not limited to:

  • SpeedAngle .sa files
  • GPS logger formats
  • External lap timing logs

Such support is provided under the following conditions:

  • Files are processed as data inputs only
  • No attempt is made to modify original file ownership or structure
  • No proprietary encryption or authentication is removed or bypassed

4. USB and Hardware Communication Scope

When XLAP STUDIO interacts with external hardware via USB, serial, or similar interfaces, it operates strictly within the following scope:

  • Reading publicly exposed or user-accessible telemetry data
  • Receiving standard sensor output streams
  • Importing data exported by user-authorized devices

XLAP STUDIO does NOT:

  • Act as a replacement for manufacturer software
  • Intercept secure or encrypted communication channels
  • Perform unauthorized protocol reverse engineering for device control

5. Reverse Engineering Disclaimer (Safe Harbor Clause)

Any analysis or compatibility implementation performed by XLAP STUDIO is conducted solely for:

interoperability, data interpretation, and user-owned data analysis purposes

and does not constitute:

  • Unauthorized reverse engineering of protected systems
  • Circumvention of technical protection measures
  • Extraction of proprietary device firmware or secure logic

This clause is intended to comply with applicable interoperability exceptions under relevant jurisdictions.


6. User Rights and Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for ensuring:

  • They have legal rights to access or import third-party data
  • Their use of external devices complies with applicable laws
  • Imported data does not violate third-party agreements

XLAP STUDIO assumes no responsibility for misuse of third-party data.


7. No Affiliation Clause

XLAP STUDIO is NOT affiliated with:

  • SpeedAngle
  • u-blox
  • Bosch / Motorsport hardware vendors
  • Any third-party telemetry device manufacturer

All references are for compatibility purposes only.


8. Data Handling Boundary

All imported or streamed data is:

  • Processed only for visualization and analytics
  • Not transmitted to third parties without user consent
  • Not used to reconstruct proprietary device protocols

9. Legal Intent of This Addendum

This Addendum is intended to:

  • Protect lawful interoperability development
  • Preserve user data rights
  • Ensure compliance with fair-use and compatibility exceptions
  • Prevent misinterpretation as device cloning or protocol theft
